May 09, 2012 - Truckers Strike at Port Klang, Malaysia

Arpin Group has been advised that the strike by container haulage drivers at Port Klang, the main import and export gateway by sea into Malaysia, is continuing with no immediate end in sight. The strike has resulted in a backlog of containers at the port. In addition, the movement is beginning to take hold in other areas of the country with a protest/strike by drivers at the Port of Pasir Gudang, Johor, scheduled for May 11, 2012.
